הַשּׁוֹחֵט שְׁנֵי רָאשִׁין כְּאֶחָד, שְׁחִיטָתוֹ כְשֵׁרָה. שְׁנַיִם אוֹחֲזִין בַּסַּכִּין וְשׁוֹחֲטִין, אֲפִלּוּ אֶחָד לְמַעְלָה וְאֶחָד לְמַטָּה, שְׁחִיטָתָן כְּשֵׁרָה:

השוחט שני ראשין כו'. דיעבד אין לכתחלה לא. בקדשים מיירי דתני רב יוסף תזבח שלא יהו שנים שוחטין זבח אחד. תזבחהו. שלא יהא אחד שוחט שני זבחים. גמ' דף כ"ט. והשתא סיפא שנים אוחזין כו' דלכתחלה. דוקא בחולין וכמ"ש ברפ"ב דקדושין:

If one slaughtered two animals simultaneously, the slaughtering is valid. If two persons held the knife and slaughtered, even if one cut higher up and the other cut lower down [in the neck], the slaughtering is valid.
