הַקָּמָה מַצֶּלֶת אֶת הָעֹמֶר וְאֶת הַקָּמָה. הָעֹמֶר אֵינוֹ מַצִּיל לֹא אֶת הָעֹמֶר וְלֹא אֶת הַקָּמָה. אֵיזוֹ הִיא קָמָה שֶׁהִיא מַצֶּלֶת אֶת הָעֹמֶר, כָּל שֶׁאֵינָהּ שִׁכְחָה אֲפִלּוּ קֶלַח אֶחָד:

הקמה מצלת את העומר. קמה שלא שכחה שהיתה בצד עומר ששכחו, מצלת על העומר, דלא הוי שכחה דכתיב (שם) כי תקצור ושכחת עומר, עומר שסביבותיו קציר הוי שכחה, ולא עומר שסביבותיו קמה:
ואת הקמה. אם שכח קמה והיו ראשי שבלים שלה מחוברים לקמה אחרת שלא שכחה, זאת הקמה שלא שכחה מצלת על הקמה השכוחה המחוברת אליה, ולא הויא שכחה:
העומר אינו מציל. אם היה עומר שכוח או קמה שכוחה בצד עומר שאינו שכוח, אין העומר שאינו שכוח מציל לא על העומר ולא על הקמה השכוחים:

ואת הקמה. לשון הר"ב והיו ראשי שבלים שלה מחוברים וכו' כדתנן במשנה ב' פרק ה':
[*העומר אינו מציל וכו'. בברייתא דתוספתא רצה ר' שמעון בן גמליאל ללמוד בקל וחומר שהעומר יציל הקמה דמה קמה שיפה כח העני בה (דהיינו בפאה) הרי היא מצלת את העומר עומר שרע כח העני בה אינו דין שיציל את הקמה אמר ליה רבי מה לקמה מצלת את העומר שרע כח העני בה יציל עומר את הקמה שיפה כח העני בה]:
איזו היא קמה שהיא מצלת את העומר. בחבור הרמב"ם פרק ה' כתב וכן אם שכח קמה בצד קמה שאינה שכוחה אפילו קלח אחד הרי זו מצלת וכו'. וצ"ל דתנא עומר דפתח ברישא נקט והוא הדין לקמה:
