מֵאֵיזֶה טַעַם אֵינוֹ מֵבִיא, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר, רֵאשִׁית בִּכּוּרֵי אַדְמָתְךָ (שמות כג), עַד שֶׁיְּהוּ כָל הַגִּדּוּלִין מֵאַדְמָתְךָ. הָאֲרִיסִין וְהֶחָכוֹרוֹת וְהַסִּקָּרִיקוֹן וְהַגַּזְלָן, אֵין מְבִיאִין מֵאוֹתוֹ הַטַּעַם, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר, רֵאשִׁית בִּכּוּרֵי אַדְמָתְךָ:

האריסין. מקבלין את השדה למחצה לשליש ולרביע:
חכירות. מקבל את השדה בדבר קצוב כך וכך כורים לשנה בין שהיא עושה הרבה בין שהיא עושה מעט:
סקריקון. הורג נפשות ונותן לו קרקע כדי שלא יהרגנו. ולשון סקריקון שא קרקע והניחני. ואע״ג דיהיב ליה לפי שעה לא מחיל ליה דסבר האידנא לשקול ולמחר תבענא ליה בדינא:

For what reason may he not bring them? Because it is said, “The first-fruits of your land” (Exodus 23:19) until all of their growth is on your land. Sharecroppers, leasers, or occupiers of confiscated property (sikarikon), or a robber does not bring them for the same reason, because it says, “The first-fruits of your land.”
